Sidech's expertise in the metallurgy of bismuth is the result of unrivalled experience in the melting and refining of all kinds of bismuth containing materials.

EXPERIENCE As early as 1950, Sidech innovated in chemical processing of bismuth-containing residues. The construction of four furnaces for Comibol at Telemayu in the Bolivian Altiplano in the seventies established Sidech's unique knowledge of the metallurgy of bismuth. In 1972, Comibol and Sidech, joined by other producers, founded the Bismuth Institute. EXPERTISE Today, Sidech's expertise in chemical and metallurgical processes enables the treatment of lead-bismuth alloys from lead refineries as well as concentrates, bullion and all types of residues to extract bismuth in the most effective way. Our environnemental policy is to anticipate the future regulations by constantly investing in up-to-date technology.

The lead contained in our raw material is separated from bismuth by a chemical process which is unique in the world. FLEXIBILITY Bismuth is a truly exceptional element with a surprisingly broad range of applications. A little amount of bismuth goes a long way towards improving material characteristics, most often in highly technical applications. Sidech proposes practical solutions to meet the demands of an over-increasing number of new, sophisticated uses. To this end we have developed a wide range of products in order to offer our metal in the physical form and degrees of purity which best meet your requirements.

LOCATION Sidech's plant is located in Belgium, 30 km south-east of Brussels, right in the center of Europe and close to the European ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam
